Software Developer - Protocol R&D

🕒 Working Student or Internship | 🏠 Hybrid (Darmstadt, Germany)

Help us design and run advanced simulations to test satellite communication protocols in real-world space environments. You’ll define benchmarks, analyze routing performance, and support the development of resilient networking tools. Collaborating closely with our network and mission teams, you’ll help shape the future of inter-satellite connectivity.

What You’ll Do
  • Design and run test setups to benchmark routing protocols

  • Define and evaluate metrics for network performance

  • Work with Python and Software-Defined Networking (SDN)

  • Explore concepts in satellite communication and orbital networking

  • Collaborate closely with engineering and research teams

  • Solid Python skills

  • Basic understanding of SDN concepts

  • Interest or prior experience in network protocols

  • Familiarity with benchmarking and testing environments

  • Motivation to explore novel problems and suggest improvements

  • Experience with C or C++

  • Exposure to orbital mechanics or satellite communications

  • Background in academic research (thesis, seminar, or similar)

  • Familiarity with optimization techniques or linear programming

  • A curious problem-solver who enjoys learning new things

  • Proactive, independent, and not afraid to experiment

  • Comfortable working in a hybrid setting and asking questions when stuck

Marketing & Communications Assistant

🕒 Working Student or Internship | 🏠 Hybrid (Darmstadt, Germany)

Join us to help amplify our voice as a space-tech startup. You’ll work closely with our Marketing Lead on content creation, website development, SEO, and event marketing. If you’re creative, proactive, and excited about science communication, this is your chance to grow with us.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist with content planning & creation for social media and newsletters

  • Update and improve our website using WordPress & Elementor

  • Optimize pages and blog content for SEO (including AI search agents)

  • Help design marketing materials (e.g. visuals, presentations, event banners)

  • Support event organization, promotion, and on-site presence

  • Collaborate on communication strategies and storytelling formats

  • Solid writing and communication skills (English fluency required)

  • Familiarity with WordPress and page builders like Elementor

  • Basic understanding of SEO and AI-based optimization tools

  • Experience with design tools like Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar

  • Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines

  • Experience managing social media accounts or blog content

  • Background or interest in science communication

  • Video editing skills or familiarity with animation tools

  • German language skills (not required, but helpful)

  • Creative, curious, and not afraid to try new formats

  • Passionate about space, science, or technology communication

  • A flexible team player who enjoys collaboration and feedback

  • Self-motivated and open to learning across disciplines
